Some one almost famous said to me “When you enter a competition” you can see how you’re doing.
I gave this some thought and I agree a bit. But also disagreed for a time also. Lets just say I’ll sit on the fence till I figure that one out.
Meanwhile as I ponder and wonder what if…a door closes and opportunity is missed.
Ever since I started my Toastmasters journey I have appreciated the support I get the feedback is enticing. It gives me feedback. This is good for the soul I think.
In an increasingly frivolous world it’s hard to get genuine feedback.
With such genuine support. So I’m taking every chance I get to volunteer myself to push that comfort zone .
I certainly find out what if? Every time I discover so easily . What if I give this a go and then I find out.
If I don’t I never ever know. Never and that’s final.
My 10 year old son said to me the other day and I tingle with pride on this one. “Dad. I always prepare my self for the worst because that means you’re definitely ready for the best”
Such resilience is from his own investigative approach to giving it go.
Resilience only accumulated from giving it a go. Stepping into the light and learning what can be gained.
The other thing to be affirmed of. No one wants to see you fail. Everyone wants to be there for you.
I know I always have those butterflies and nerves all a flutter. I saw somewhere once. When the butterflies stop then stop talking.
Need a push then grab someone and get them to mentor you. This can be as simple as what do you think of this idea.
Be brave the water is fine. Give it a go!
We are all in this water together.
