It’s been a few days. I am still reeling from those haunting words. “Who is going to love these children?” David delivered a harrowing tale of displaced children. It went straight to the heart strings. Technology may have plagued David to deliver the slides. But this one line has such resonance.
It is that simple rule that drives one to write, to speak, to deliver that content, that point wrapped up in the sandwich between beginning and end.
I could hardly think clearly after this one punch line. I was thrown off kilter. I had no clever answer in my minds eye.
How can I get focus on the role of Table Topics evaluator? (seems I need to practice) What blog post will rise from this?
Alas it’s been a few days. I could not nudge this content from my mind.
One part of the world not loving their own children, a family overseas in turmoil with their three adopted children and now grandchild. News of a friends sister diagnosed with cancer.
Sometimes the message just smacks ya right in the gob. So perhaps with some more imagination and thought one can make some difference some how. I applaud the conversation and the provocation. It just goes to show that content is king.
No matter the delivery. I challenge David to keep on refining the speech to bring this content to many.
I’m thinking in our future will we keep behaving in the same way to our fellow peoples.
Will we learn from the past and the present to walk into the future and love these children.
